SELECTED MAKER

Hall, Charles
Silversmithing

Charles trained at the Royal College of Art and has been practising in Cornwall since 1972. He was the founding member of CCA in 1973, and the founding member of the Association of Designer Silversmiths in 1996.

His work is strongly influenced by the environment - the rugged North coast of Cornwall.

Designs for contemporary lifestyle, function being an important element. Hand forged spoons, hand raised bowls and beakers, glass and silver combined to produce pieces for elegant dining. Claret jugs, water jugs, salad bowls with servers, wine goblets and candlesticks. Large scale pieces in silver for private, corporate and religious ceremony.

His jewellery work is all in precious metals, precious stones used in a secondary style as highlight glints reflecting the environmental influence.

Designed and developed by: Nixon.
