From Stormy Pottery. My work is hand built with a combination of coils, press moulding and slab methods. Each pot is left to dry and then tidyed up, once smooth the pot is slipped with porcelain and then burnished.
I decorate the pots by using tape and a variety of other materials before individually smoke firing in sawdust or paper to produce their stormy patterns. The pot is then painstakeningly cleaned and finally dried and polished.
Each piece of work is unique, as the smoke firing process produces a different pattern everytime.
